Disney Advertisements: How they draw you in!

When people think of Disney they are probably thinking about the movies, parks, television shows, memorabilia or many other things. This just shows that the Walt Disney Company does a great job of advertising all of their many aspects of the company. Today I will pull a selected few of the different advertisements that the Walt Disney Company has and talk about how they are similar, if they are different and what I believe to be a great advertisement.

First I will show you the advertisement for the "I Am A Princess" campaign. This commercial advertisement is great and has a lot of awesome things involved.
Some of the elements are:
  • All cultures of little girls
  • Relatable figures including all of the Disney princesses
  • Simple messages to empower young girls
  • Characteristics that make up a princess

This video shows that the Disney Company enjoys their followers and want to make sure that their guests feel comfortable and want to talk and brag about the Walt Disney name.

This next video is an advertisement for the Walt Disney World Resort. It shows all of the different aspects that go into opening the gates and starting a wonderful vacation at Walt Disney World. It than goes through what you can do through out the day with shots of the food, rides, activities and much more. This is showing all of the happy families and guests that are vacationing at Walt Disney World. That is one thing that all of the videos and ads have in common. Disney will never show people not having fun while on vacation. I think that is a great idea and I believe that it would not be ok to show people who are not enjoying themselves. I enjoyed this ad and I think that it is great to have something like this to try and get people to your destination.

The final video that I found was one that most of you have probably seen because it is the one that plays before the previews of a Disney film. This is an important element of any movie. If you do not have an eye catching introduction it is more likely for the audience to ignore what is playing and just zone out until their movie starts. The aspects that I think are really great in this ad are:
  • the variety of movie clips through out the ad
  • the music in the background
  • the description through out the whole ad
This ad includes a lot of the different movies including animation and real acting to relate to a wide variety of viewers.

The next four pictures are all still photo advertisements. They are also all about the Disney parks that are in Florida and California. I found it very interesting how similar they all are even though they are different parks and different years. Each one of these could have been used in a magazine, newspaper, brochure or billboard. All four of the advertisements have some sort of Disney aspect in them whether that be the castle, a character or something Mickey. This is a way that the Disney company is relating to their audience and making sure to draw them in.

This ad has a nice addition into the advertisement with the family laughing and enjoying some treats together. Family is a very important part of the Disney experience.

The two ads here are both including the castles in the ad. This is one part of Disney that everyone knows about so having this as part of the ad is important and something that everyone can relate to.
With the addition of Goofy to this ad it makes a connection with all the Goofy fans. This can be the children that love his character or the adults that loved him as a child. There is always the fans that will relate to the characters no matter how old so having an ad with the characters in them is a great tactic.
This is an ad for a toy that is using the Disney princesses. This is including two of the very important parts of the advertising theme. It is showing a happy child that loves the toy that she is using. They are also connecting it to the characters. This is always a good idea because when children are walking down the aisles at a store their eyes will be drawn to the items that they know about. Most children know about Disney so having the princesses on the ad is smart and the children will relate to this product.

So through out my post I talked about a few different types of ads that Disney uses. I also gave my input on what I think about them. All of the ads that I have seen for Disney are very good and include great aspects that can relate to their audience. They are always showing the smiling faces that prove people are having fun. They also show the relatable parts of Disney including the characters and the castle. The ads are very similar in some instances including the ones on the parks but then there are a wide variety for the different movies. Well the information on Disney ads has come to an end so I hope you comment if you have other insights or thing you would add otherwise have a great day and I hope "your dreams come true!"
